In Maximo Base Services 184.108.40.206, functionality is enabled to display a listing of reports on the Start Center via a new Report List Portlet.
Start Centers are used to create individual templates (tabs) for users to quickly view and access applications and data. One of the primary purposes of the templates is to show data via KPI Displays, which provide immediate, visual status of particular business metrics. Another primary purpose of the templates in the Start Center is to enable quick access to actions, applications or result sets. All of these actions are very powerful, and heavily used.
Beginning in Maximo Base Services 220.127.116.11, functionality is enabled to display a listing of reports on the Start Center via a new Report List Portlet. This extends the Start Center Functionality by enabling clients to configure a listing of their individual, most frequently used reports for quick and easy access.
Report list portlets can be enabled for a listing of a user’s favorite reports or favorite Ad Hoc Reports. The reports can be from a single Application, or multiple Applications, and are best enabled for reports that require User Inputted Parameters (like Start Dates and End Dates). Additionally, the report list portlet can be configured for any report type -- BIRT, Crystal or any Custom Report that you may have enabled through a report integration.
To enable the Report List Portlet, security rights need to first be granted to each Security Group who will use this functionality. This is done in the Security Group Application, by enabling Read/Modify access to Report List Portlet’.
