Unable to load certain elements in ClearCase Remote Client (CCRC) view
This technote explains why certain file or directory elements might fail to load into a ClearCase Remote Client (CCRC) view.
You create a CCRC view. One or more directories do not load into the view. Discordance might be reported for some directories in the view.
Attempting further updates or checkouts in the view might display an error message that ClearCase cannot perform the operation.
The problem might be caused by a file or directory element name containing a special character that is unsupported by the ISO code base used by the Change Management Server (CM Server), such as an accent (ό) or umlaut (ö).
Resolving the problem
Set the LANG environment variable for the ccrpc process to a code set that supports the operating system code set and contains the special characters.
To set the LANG environment variable for the ccrcp:
- Add the following lines to /opt/ibm/RationalSDLC/common/CM/bin/ccrpc.sh. The code set might vary depending on your system.
- Restart the CM Server by running the following commands:
