Abstract
IBM® Rational® Systems Developer has been replaced by IBM Rational Software Architect Standard Edition.
Content
Customers with entitlements to IBM Rational Systems Developer have an entitled (free) migration path to IBM Rational Software Architect Standard Edition. Your next regular renewal notification will quote IBM Rational Software Architect Standard Edition instead of IBM Rational Systems Developer. In this way your Rational Systems Developer entitlements will be automatically converted into Rational Software Architect Standard Edition entitlements. You can adopt Rational Software Architect Standard Edition software prior to the conversion of entitlements. To do this, login to Passport Advantage and follow these instructions:
1. Go to Software download & media access in Passport Advantage Online
2. In Download finder select: IBM Rational Systems Developer.
3. In the next page: select yes for the download option: If available, would you like to see associated products included at no additional charge?
4. In the next page, expand: Associated products included at no additional charge and you should see IBM Rational Software Architect Standard Edition V7.5:
5. IBM Rational Software Architect Standard Edition V7.5 will appear, available to download
When you adopt Rational Software Architect Standard Edition prior to the conversion of your Rational Systems Developer entitlements, it is under the terms of Anticipatory Access. Those terms are defined here: ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/software/rational/web/migrations/2008/AnticipatoryAccessPage_Sep2008.pdf
Additional information about this migration and other aspects of product packaging changes that were introduced with version 7.5 of the Rational modeling products may be found here: http://www-01.ibm.com/software/rational/support/migrations/sep2008.html
