Question
Where can I find the VisualAge Smalltalk Enterprise information that used to be here?
Answer
IBM VisualAge Smalltalk Enterprise V6 (5724-B83) is no longer marketed or supported by IBM.
Support ended on April 30, 2006 (see announcement 905-093 dated April 26, 2005). VisualAge Smalltalk Enterprise was replaced by Instantiations VA Smalltalk (see www.instantiations.com/VAST for further information).
Note: If you are using VisualAge Smalltalk V5 in conjunction with VisualAge Generator Developer V4.5, this combination will be in support by IBM through the VisualAge Generator product until September 30, 2009 (see announcement 908-123, dated June 10, 2008).
Note: This flash does not apply to VisualAge Smalltalk Server for OS/390 and z/OS Version 6.0. That product is still in service with no announced End of Service date.
All techdocs, technotes, and downloads for VisualAge Smalltalk Enterprise V6 that are still current have been migrated to the Instantiations website (see www.instantiations.com/VAST/docs.html for techdocs and technotes; see www.instantiations.com/VAST/more/goodies.html for downloads) for your convenience.
