WebSphere Data Interchange Client v3.2.1 Support for Microsoft Windows Vista



This document formalizes support for WDIClient v3.2.1 on Microsoft Windows Vista


As of this date WebSphere Data Interchange v3.2.1 Client formalizes support on Microsoft Windows Vista.

Problem encountered during testing, when opening WDI Help files an error occurs "WinHlp32.exe does not exist on Windows Vista". This is a known Windows Vista problem with any program that requires WinHlp32.exe program to open help files.

Please refer to Microsoft Article ID: 917607 - A download is available for Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 that resolves an issue in which you cannot open Help files that require the Windows Help (WinHlp32.exe) program. Note: You will need to go to the Microsoft website to search for the aforementioned article.

WDI Client v3.2.1 at Fixpack21 level has been tested in lab environment on Windows Vista platform.
