Abstract
WebSphere® Process Server 6.1 add-on is available on IBM® Support Assistant 4.0. New collectors have been added to make collecting data easier.

Use IBM Support Assistant 4.0 to troubleshoot WebSphere Process Server problems. See the main steps for installing a WebSphere Process Server add-on, and become familiar with how to use the data collectors for collecting data.

Install WebSphere Process Server add-on in IBM Support Assistant 4.0
- Open IBM Support Assistant.
- Select Update - Find new - Product Add-ons:
- Expand WebSphere.
- Select the WebSphere Process Server 6.0 or 6.1 product add-on and click Next.
- Accept the license agreement and click Next.
- Click Finish to install the new product add-on.
- Restart IBM Support Assistant.
After restarting the product, the add-on displays when you select Update - Manage installed Add-ons and expand Installed product add-ons.
Collect data using IBM Support Assistant 4.0
- Open IBM Support Assistant.
- Click Analyze Problem on the main page or from the Launch Activity drop down menu on the top left corner.
- Click Collect Data.
- Expand WebSphere Process Server to view the problem types.
- Select a collector and click Add.
The selected collector displays in the Collector Queue. You can add more than one problem type.
- Click Collect All.
- Follow the prompts to complete the data collection.
Available collectors and what data they collect
The following three collectors are available for WebSphere Process Server:
- The general collector collects generic information from the system.
- The selective trace collector allows you to set specific trace strings, reproduce the problem, and collect all of the configuration and log and trace files.
- The network deployment collector, for use in a clustered environment, helps you gather files that are useful for problem determination across a network.
