Error: "No Access to Server" accessing the server console using the Domino Administrator client

Technote (troubleshooting)


You are a Lotus® Domino® administrator with appropriately configured privileges. You are unable to access the server console using the Lotus Domino Administrator client and you receive the following error:

    "No Access to Server"

There are no other indications of restricted access for the affected administrator(s) on this server.


You attempt to access the server console view on the Server tab of the Domino Administrator Client. Before reporting an inability to grant access, the client may exhibit a latency effect.

Resolving the problem

The server has an inability to confirm the appropriate access for the user(s) affected.

In one scenario, this issue was resolved by shutting down the Domino server and manually running database maintenance on the names.nsf database. An alternative solution is to pull a new replica of the names.nsf database from a Domino server that is not encountering the issue.
