How to generate a precompile listing with the GCC compiler

Technote (FAQ)

Question

I am getting an error when I compile my makefile and do not get back a listing file. Is there a way to generate a pre-compile listing file with the GCC compiler?

Answer

Yes. You can generate a precompile file (.i) by issuing

maketpf -f xxxx.mak yyyy.i
where xxxx is the makefile name and yyyy is the segment name.

For more information please refer to the maketpf manual. You can view this by issuing
man maketpf
on your linux system or by referencing the TPF documentation under "z/TPF man pages".
