How to generate a precompile listing with the GCC compiler

Technote (FAQ)

Question

I am getting an error when I compile my makefile and do not get back a listing file. Is there a way to generate a precompile listing file with the GCC compiler?

Answer

Yes. You can generate a precompile file (.i) by issuing
maketpf -f xxxx.mak yyyy.i
where xxxx is the makefile name and yyyy is the segment name.

For more information, enter man maketpf on your linux system.
