Technote (FAQ)

Question

BPXF135E message received for an HFS mount request.

Cause

filesystem does not exist

Answer

BPXF135E RETURN CODE 00000081, REASON CODE EF096055. THE MOUNT FAILED FOR FILE SYSTEM xxxx.xxxxx.xxxxxxx received trying to mount an HFS file

Although the EF096055 sounds like a ZFS code, it can be issued for a MOUNT request for an

HFS file system that does not exist:
Description: Error LOCATEing an HFS-compat aggregate.

Action: Ensure that the zFS file system named on the MOUNT command has the
same name as the VSAM Linear Data Set (and the HFS compatibility mode
aggregate) that contains the file system.

If the EF096055 is received, check that the FILESYSTEM specified in the MOUNT command DOES
exist and that it is type (HFS).
