Domino Web Access Redirect overrides the default mode set using the "iNotes_WA_DefaultUI" notes.ini parameter

 Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem
In Lotus® Domino® Web Access (iNotes™ Web Access) 8.0.1, the Redirect opens the customer's mail file in Full Mode even if the default mode is set to Lite Mode using the iNotes_WA_DefaultUI=dwa_lite parameter.

Symptom
Although the iNotes_WA_DefaultUI=dwa_lite is set on the Domino Web Access (DWA) server, customers will find that their DWA mail file opens in Full Mode when accessed using the DWA Redirect.

This issue occurs even if the login options are hidden from the user in the DWA Redirect.

Resolving the problem
This issue has been reported to Development as SPR# JCIK7CQ4CE and is currently under investigation.
