Problem

UNIX webseal servers with multiple network interfaces experiencing number entries of the following type: 2007-09-26-16:25:16.802+00:00I----- 0x38AD54BA webseald WARNING wiv ssl WsSslListener.cpp 1018 0x0000fafb DPWIV1210W Function call, gsk_secure_soc_init, failed error: 00000196 GSK_ERROR_IO.

Symptom

Can lead to performance issues, as well as unexpected communications issues and webseal server functional outage.

Cause

Communication between webseal server and TAM server moved from one interface to another by operating system.

Resolving The Problem

Set environment variable PD_FIXED_CLIENT_IP in the pdweb_start script, assigning the variable to a valid IP address for one of the network interfaces on the system, to ensure all communication for webseald is associated with a single IP.
