Question
NPM only requires the SYSTCPD DD card if running more than one TCPIP and/or if you don't use TCPIP as the HLQ.
Answer
The SYSTCPD DD card below is needed only if you're running more than one TCPIP stack on the NPM host and/or your DSN HLQ isn't 'TCPIP'. This is explained in the NPM Installation and Customization manual, SH19-6964-06, section 9.1 topic 'Before you start NPM'.
The DD card would be similar to the following:
//SYSTCPD DD DISP=SHR,DSN=TCPxx.INIT(TCPDATA)
