Question
When using the method getEntryByPrimaryKey() from Websphere Product Center (WPC) to retrieve information from a new created entry, you received "null" as the return result.
Cause
You cannot getEntryByPrimaryKey() to retrieve the result of a newly created entry. This is working as designed.
Answer
You need to save an entry first by calling the method, such as, saveEntryByPrimaryKey(), so that it is stored in the database, before calling getEntryByPrimaryKey() to retrieve the result. The scripting library reference mentions this in the deprecated getCtgItemByPrimaryKey(), but not for getEntryByPrimaryKey().
