Technote (FAQ)
Question
A person who is bcc'd on a mail message in Lotus Notes® client or Lotus® Domino® Web Access (iNotes™ Web Access) may not realize this and "Reply to All", including the original recipient(s), who were not aware that this person had been sent a copy of the message. This can lead to problems or embarrassment to either or both parties. Is there a way to prevent bcc'd users from replying to all?
The Reply to all button is not available for such messages if they are internal Notes memos, but the action is still possible for SMTP messages, received from the Internet.
Answer
Starting in Notes 8 and Domino Web Access (DWA) 8, the Reply to All options have been removed from the internal Notes memo view if you are bcc'd on the message. The option is still available for SMTP messages. This is reported in SPR #JSTN8J2SJV, and is under investigation.
