Can you take a database offline and eliminate the subscription/replication?

Technote (FAQ)

Question

Can you take a database offline and eliminate the subscription/replication?

Is it possible to do this without having a huge impact on the network, for example where all users replicate their 1GB mail files at once?

Answer

Use the below steps:

1. Create a new replica of the database in Notes (File > Database > New replica).

2. Create a folder c:\Program Files\Lotus iNotes\data\dols\<user name ibmirl>\<replica id>\mail\ and place the replica which has been created in step 1 in this folder.

3. Install DOLS and the user should be able to go offline without creating a large subscription/replication.
