Resolving The Problem

Web - 3.x: "Unable to display document, error retrieving page 1, 500 Internal Server Error"
"Unable to display document, Error retrieving page 1, 500 internal server error."
Could be a cache manager issue. If IDM Preference 'Delete Cache on Logoff' is set to 'No', cache may go over configured maximum and may not be cleaned up. This can lead to cache corruption. Set 'Delete Cache on logoff' to 'Yes', reboot. If anything old remains in \\program files\filenet\idm\cache folder after reboot, delete it and reboot again. If you want 'delete cache on logoff' to be set to 'No', be sure to install patch 10 for Web Services 3.2 to get the following two fixes:

FR 47338
Description:
Fixes a problem where regardless of the cache size setting, if that size was exceeded, the cache was not deleted as expected.

FR 47381
Description:
Fixes a problem where, when the 'Delete Cache on Logoff' preference was set to 'No', if the web server was rebooted, the Maximum cache size was exceeded.
