Problem(Abstract)

The table below shows an overview of the operating system levels supported by Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) server, client, and storage agent.

Cause

This table is an overview only. For the most current details for each component's platform support, including Hardware Requirements, please click on the platform name in the Platform column (column on left) of the table.

Note:
Tivoli® Storage Manager Version 6.4.1 and Tivoli Storage Manager Extended Edition Version 6.4.1 are made up of the following components and code levels:

Tivoli Storage Manager Operations Center Version 6.4.1
Backup-archive client at Version 6.4
Application programming interface (API) at Version 6.4
Server at Version 6.3.4, including the Administration Center, Tivoli Monitoring for Tivoli Storage Manager, and device driver components, which are also at Version 6.3.4

Tivoli® Storage Manager Version 6.4 and Tivoli Storage Manager Extended Edition Version 6.4 are made up of the following components and code levels:

Backup-archive client at Version 6.4
Application programming interface (API) at Version 6.4
Server at Version 6.3.3, including the Administration Center, Tivoli Monitoring for Tivoli Storage Manager, and device driver components, which are also at Version 6.3.3

Tip: Tivoli Storage Manager and Tivoli Storage Manager Extended Edition Version 6.4 include the server at Version 6.3.3. The Version 6.3.3 server is also available for download separately, as a fix pack.

Tip: As in previous releases, the Storage Agents are packaged with the Version 6.3.3 TSM Server for installation, but require Tivoli Storage Manager for Storage Area Networks.
