Problem(Abstract)

You want to set or change the AdoptNewMCA and AdoptNewMCACheck queue manager attributes from a script or Windows command line.

Resolving the problem

These queue manager attributes can be set using the MQ Explorer, but they can also be set using 'amqmdain'.

The following commands can be used to set AdoptNewMCA and AdoptNewMCACheck on a command line.

amqmdain reg QMNAME -c add -s Channels -v AdoptNewMCA=ALL|NO

amqmdain reg QMNAME -c add -s Channels -v AdoptNewMCACheck=ALL|ADDRESS|NAME|NONE

Examples:
amqmdain reg QM_APPLE -c add -s Channels -v AdoptNewMCA=ALL
amqmdain reg QM_APPLE -c add -s Channels -v AdoptNewMCACheck=ALL
