Question

How can the interchange header on enveloped data be missing when I have enveloped transactions?

Answer

This is valid for send Maps. WebSphere Data Interchange will not create an interchange header for one of the following reasons:

1) You did not provide a value in ISA06 of the Envelope profile. WebSphere Data Interchange will not create an interchange header if the interchange sender ID is missing from the envelope profile. If you did not specify an override Envelope profile on the Send Map usage, WebSphere Data Interchange uses the Envelope profile that's the same name as the EDI Standard.

2) The Envelope type field of the Send Map Usage contains a 0 for the Envelope type.
