"SIS Document Identifier not set" error while starting archpro

Technote (FAQ)

Question

I am trying to use single instance storing for DB2® Content Manager. When archpro starts, it shuts down with the following error:

Connection for repository 'CSXARCHIVE' on server 'icmnlsdb' with item type 'CSXMail_INS' for user 'CSX-INS' FAILED. Reason: SIS Document Identifier not set in 'CSXMail_INS'

I have checked the item type definition. All the attribute names are spelled correctly.

Cause

The names for the required attributes for single instance storing are case sensitive. The attribute names you used need to match the names listed in the Administration and User Guide (publication SH12-6741-03) exactly. CommonStore relies on these names to look for the necessary attributes. For example, "cscdisis" is not going to be recognized. Using "cscdisis" and "cscrisis" is going to cause this "SIS Document Identifier not set" error.

Answer

When naming required attributes, make sure they are named exactly as shown in the manual. The names are case sensitive.
