Note: When performing the installation of the Crystal Reports authoring software, log in as the actual system administrator (Administrators or Power Users group). This ensures that the Windows Installer has uninhibited access to the entire system to run the installation script.
* Crystal Reports XI, Release 2 is also known as version 11.5.
Data-Pull Reporting and newer versions of Crystal Reports
The data-pull reporting model, introduced in ClearQuest 7.1, allows for the authoring of reports with any version of Crystal Reports that supports using Java Database Connectivity (JDBC) resources. For more information about the data-pull reporting model, refer to the ClearQuest Information Center.

Note A: Downloading the Java Reporting Component (JRC) from SAP:
- Go to http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/crystalreports-java
- Download the required JRC version:
- Use JRC 11.8.x to support Crystal Reports data-push report and the Crystal Reports Migration Tool ***.
- Click the link to download Crystal Reports for Eclipse 1.0.
- On the download page, click the link If you want just the runtime JAR files to download the archive for installing theJRC component.
- Use JRC 12.2.x to support data-pull report execution; data-push reporting is not supported.
- Click the link to download Crystal Reports for Eclipse 2.0.
- On the download page, click the link Runtime Libraries to download the archive for installing the JRC component.
- Use JRC 11.8.x to support Crystal Reports data-push report and the Crystal Reports Migration Tool ***.

Note 1: Crystal Report Server XI and Crystal Enterprise Embedded Edition (CEEE) do not require additional licensing from Business Objects for use with the ClearQuest Web server.
ClearQuest provides a bundled Crystal Reports server for ClearQuest versions 7.0.x. Details are provided to assist with locating the down-loadable copies of this software. The CD copies of ClearQuest include an additional CD with the Crystal Reports server software.
Note 2: Patch update for Bundled Crystal Reports XI Server is available.
Note 3: Patch update for Bundled Crystal Reports 10 Server is available.
Crystal Reports with ClearQuest Web 7.1.x
ClearQuest Web 7.1.x utilizes a Report Server for Crystal Reports, which is included in the ClearQuest installation files. See the ClearQuest Information Center for more information.
Notes:
- With ClearQuest Web 7.1.0.x, the Report Server for Crystal Reports is not supported on UNIX or Linux platforms when running traditional data-push reports. This issue is resolved starting in ClearQuest 7.1.1. See technote 1386301 for more information.
- Report formats created with Crystal Reports 10 or 11 can be run on ClearQuest Web 7.1. Crystal reports created with prior versions might not work, and need to be recreated. See technote 1375645 for more information.

Refer to the Rational Software Development Platform - Team version 7.0 download document 4012293 for a link to the Passport Advantage (PA) site. Once on the site, click to search by part, use part number CR3PGML which will return "ClearCase Change Management Solution." Under this part you will find the Crystal Reports Enterprise Embedded Edition for ClearQuest.
