Changing the location of a ClearCase Remote Client view
How can I change the location of the view copy area (view root) related to a IBM® Rational® ClearCase® Remote Client (CCRC) view?
Your local workspace resides in the following location:
C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\CCRC_View
You are planning to move the view to a new location:
C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Views\CCRC_View
In the directory to which the CCRC view resides (in the above example, C:\Documents and Settings\username) there is a file named .ccase_wvreg which contains the path locations for each CCRC view copy area, refer to technote 1228258 for more details.
If the view files (folders and files already copied down from a VOB) are moved to the new location, then you can modify the .ccase_wvreg file with the new location path.
Close all CCRC instances after the change is made and restart it to reflect the updated path.
Upon the restart CCRC, mouse over of the view will show the copy area which has been updated to the new target location.
