Macro to switch printers and printer trays not working as expected

Technote (FAQ)

Question

Your Lotus Approach macro that is supposed to switch printers and printer trays is not working as expected. For example, you have a set of macros to expedite printing an Approach file. The macros are supposed to switch to a view, then print to one printer, switch to another paper tray and print, then switch back to a different printer and print.

These macros work individually but not as a chain. Breaking them up into three individual macros and running one from the others also does not work.

Answer

This issue was reported to Quality Engineering as SPR# GABN6CBKAU and does not occur in release 9.8.3. If you encounter this problem in releases earlier than 9.8.3, the workaround is to run each macro individually.
