Cannot print from any SmartSuite application after a new install

You cannot print from any Lotus SmartSuite® application after a new SmartSuite installation.


In one particular case, the installation was done while the administrator was logged in as "Administrator". Since there are user access levels in the application, the installation must be done when logged into the system under the user's profile.
An administrator can temporarily grant users full administrative rights if they do not currently have this level of system access. These rights can be downgraded after the successful installation.

The workaround was to perform a clean installation as outlined in Document #1096343, "How to perform a clean installation of SmartSuite or Organizer."
