Interpreting memory monitor log entries

Problem(Abstract)

InfoSphere Master Data Management Server for Product Information Management processes log their memory usage at a pre-configured interval; usually every minute. Each log entry line contains detailed information about memory usage by providing 15 statistical numbers, which are defined in this document.

The memory log file name is memory.log

Resolving the problem

Example of a memory monitor log entry:

Definition of the 15 statistics provided in a log entry:

1: total memory usage in KBytes 243395k,
2-6: Usage 0, 5, 0, 0, 37
7: # of DB Threads used 2
8: # of Catalogs 43
9: # of CategoryTrees 20
10: # of Items 52
11: # of Categories 16
12: # of Entry nodes 0
13: # of Attribute Values 0
14: # of FileSystem Doc's 0
15: # of Specs 5
