Event notifications do not occur for some Trends and Violations

Flash (Alert)

Abstract

If the Process ETL is not scheduled correctly and there are SLAs that include hourly evaluations, event notifications might not be consistently escalated when Trends and Violations are created for those hourly evaluations.

Content

Schedule the Process ETL according to the suggestions in the "IBM Tivoli Service Level Advisor, Managing Service Level Agreements" publication, for SLAs that include hourly evaluations. Schedule the Process ETL early enough to allow time for it to complete at least five minutes before the end of the hourly period, otherwise some event notifications might not occur.
