Question
What ODBC drivers should you use with WebSphere Message Brokers (WMB) for an Oracle broker or application database on a UNIX machine?
Answer
WMB V8 requires the following drivers to connect to the Oracle database:
- Application database with DataFlowEngines
DataDirect 6.0 64bit Oracle Wire Protocol driver - UKora24.xx (for example: UKora24.so) which is shipped with the product and is located in <WMB install directory>/ODBC/V6.0/lib directory.
- Application database with DataFlowEngines
DataDirect 6.0 64bit Oracle Wire Protocol driver - UKora24.xx (for example: UKora24.so) which is shipped with the product and is located in <WMB install directory>/ODBC/V6.0/lib directory.
WMB V6.1 requires the following drivers to connect to the Oracle database:
- Broker database
DataDirect 5.3 64bit Oracle Wire Protocol driver, UKora23.xx (for example: UKora23.so) which is shipped with the product and is located in <WMB install directory>/ODBC64/V5.3/lib directory.
- Application database with 64-bit DataFlowEngines
DataDirect 5.3 64bit Oracle Wire Protocol driver - UKora23.xx (for example: UKora23.so) which is shipped with the product and is located in <WMB install directory>/ODBC64/V5.3/lib directory.
- Application database with the 32-bit DataFlowEngines
DataDirect 5.3 32bit Oracle driver - UKor823.xx (for example: UKor823.so) which is shipped with the product and is located in <WMB install directory>/ODBC32/V5.3/lib directory.
