Perform the following steps:
1. Verify that the NMC server was installed correctly and is currently running.
2. The problem may be that the NMC server is running on a machine that has multiple IP addresses. This could be due to Network Address Translation (NAT) or that you have multiple network adapter cards installed on the NMC server machine.
3. When NMC server is started, verify that the IP address is correct for this machine. You can do this by checking the first line in the command prompt window of the NMC topology communications server. The first line contains the IP address that the NMC server associates with the machine.
4. Check if there is another IP address associated with this machine. If there is another IP address, use the NMC server command "tserver config -f x.x.x.x" to notify the NMC server of this alternate IP address. After executing this command, recycle the NMC server. This will enable the NMC server to route the commands within the same NMC server machine.
