Problem(Abstract)

You receive message
EYUNL0090W addspace is shutting down because it failed to become available to process requests
when you start a CICSPlex SM (CPSM) Manager Address Space (MAS).

Symptom


Cause

Not enough time allowed for PLT processing.

Diagnosing the problem

  1. PLT processing starts
  2. LMAS initialization completes
  3. Message EYUNL0090W is issued before PLT processing completes.

A dump taken before message EYUNL0090W shows transaction ID CPLT. A PLT program is still running. For instance, a task issues a READ for a file and is still active.

Resolving the problem

If long PLT processing time is normal, you need to lengthen the amount of time allowed for it to complete. Code the CICSPlex SM system parameters MASPLTWAIT=YES and MASINITTIME=15.
