Troubleshooting


Problem

After installing Enterprise Extender, when establishing a LU 6.2 connection, you are receiving the following error message: DFHZC2411 E SNASVCMG attempted invalid logon. SENSE CODE 0835 003B ((29) Module name: DFHZBLX)

Symptom

DFHZC2411 with sense code 0835 003B

Cause

An incoming BIND request for SNASVCMG session is rejected by CICS with sense code 0835003B because single session is defined in Connection definition.

Diagnosing The Problem

The bind image coming into CICS is:

Bind byte 24 has '23', the '02' is for parallel sessions, the '01' is for change number of sessions (CNOS) support, so this bind is for a parallel session. CICS does not have an installed connection definition with parallel sessions that matches this incoming bind. When DFHZBLX tries to match the netname, no appropriate connection definition was found (the one with the matching name is for a single session, not parallel session), and you receive message DFHZC2411.

Resolving The Problem

Change SINGLESESS from YES to NO in Connection definition.
