Problem
You are setting up a WebSphere MQ Queue Sharing Group (QSG). You give the QSG the same name as one of the queue managers (qmgrs) in the QSG. However, when you try to send a message from one qmgr to the QSG qmgr who's name is the same as the QSG name, then you receive MQRC 2087 (MQRC_UNKNOWN_REMOTE_Q_MGR). This error occurs at the MQOPEN call for the qremote definition.
Symptom
MQRC 2087 (MQRC_UNKNOWN_REMOTE_Q_MGR)
Cause
The QSG name is the same name as an existing qmgr name.
Resolving The Problem
It is NOT recommended to have a QSG with the same name as an existing qmgr, as it will never be clear whether it is the qmgr, or the QSG that is being addressed.
