Question

I cannot connect to RSE. Where can I find details about why I cannot connect?

Answer

You can view details about why you cannot connect to RSE in the Error Log.

To specify the types of RSE errors that are logged to this Error Log file, do the following:

  1. In the workbench, select Window > Preferences to open the Preferences window.
  2. In the left navigation pane, double-click the Remote Systems node to open the tree of available preferences pages.
  3. Click Logging to open the Logging preferences page.
  4. Set the logging level to specify the types of RSE errors that you want to appear in this log file.

To view errors in the Error Log view, do the following:
  1. In the workbench, select Window > Show View > Other > PDE Runtime > Error Log
  2. Click OK.
  3. Double-click an error in the view to get additional details for that error.
