Installation using Java GUI fails with "Cannot allocate object QGNNINDS"
|
| | | | Problem | An install of Lotus Domino server for IBM i using the Java installation fails with the following error:
"Error - Unable to restore license program java.lag.Exception: Error - Remote Command Failed RSTLICPGM ..."
When you check the instlog.txt file, you find the following line in the output:
"Cannot allocate object QGNNINDS.
Exit program processing failed."
(The instlog.txt can be found in the folder from which the install wizard was started.) | | | | | | | | Resolving the problem | | This error can occur when the object QGNNINDS is locked. Object QGNNINDS can be in many different libraries. To avoid the problem, make sure there are no locks on any QGNNINDS object.
For example, if a user has executed the WRKDOMSVR command, this can place an OBJLCK on QGNNINDS until the user selects the option to sign off. Thus the install using RSTLICPGM fails. | | | | | | | | | |
