Question
How do you reload the Web project after making changes using IBM WebSphere Test Environment ?
Cause
WebSphere Test Environment version 5 does not automatically reload the project.
Answer
There is an option in the Web Project Deployment Descriptor that causes the Web project to automatically reload after any of its files are modified. You can set the automatic reload with the following:
- From the Web Perspective, in the Project Navigator, expand the desired Web project.
- Double-click on Web Deployment Descriptor to open the editor.
- Switch to the Extensions page. In the General section, ensure that Reloading enabled is selected.
A default Web Deployment descriptor has Reloading enabled set. However, this does not guarantee that the Web project is restarted. You may need to select Restart the project from the server instance context menu Server view. The conditions that require restarting the project are in the Help Contents topic "When the test server requires restarting".
