Question
How to use existing NetView rulesets to reduce the number of events displayed in the web client?
Answer
From the Event Browser in the NetView version 7.1 web client, select the existing ruleset from the drop down menu that, by default, displays "All Events". Any rulesets that exist in /usr/OV/conf/rulesets/ will be shown in this menu. This will cause events to be filtered according to the ruleset. Resolved events will be removed from the Event Display. Additional filtering is still accessible from the Filter dialog. Up to five different rulesets per server can be selected.
