DFHRX0102 During initialization of CICS RX domain

Troubleshooting

Problem

Your CICS Transaction Server region receives message: DFHRX0102 Errors were encountered during initialization of the RX domain. Domain initialization has ended.

Symptom

DFHRX0102 Errors were encountered during initialization of the RX domain. Domain initialization has ended.

Cause

DFHRXSVC is not in an authorized library.

Diagnosing The Problem

Message DFHRX0102 is due to not finding DFHRXSVC during initialization. DFHRXSVC must be in an APF authorized library. Because DFHRXSVC is supplied in SDFHLINK, you can add SDFHLINK to your STEPLIB concatenation (making sure it is APF authorized), or move DFHRXSVC to SDFHAUTH.

Resolving The Problem

Ensure that DFHRXSVC is in an APF authorized library.

CICS supplies DFHRXSVC in the hlq.SDFHLINK library, where hlq is defined by the LINDEX parameter in the DFHISTAR installation job.

Ensure the modules supplied in SDFHLINK are available from an APF-authorized library in the MVS linklist by:

  • Adding these modules, as required, to an existing APF-authorized library defined in the MVS linklist, or
  • Defining SDFHLINK itself as an APF-authorized library and including it in the MVS linklist.
