ASF messages manual

Technote (FAQ)

Question

Where are ASF online messages documented?

Answer

ASF online messages are documented by INFO records in the GIL data set. The name of the corresponding GIL record is language specific. It is made up by the <language code> concatenated with the ASF message prefix. For example the English help record name for message FSN229E ist 'ENUFSN229E'.

You can display the help for a specific message performing the following steps:

  • log on to ASF
  • enter fast-path command ENUMSGO to access "Display Help For an Online Message" panel,
  • type the message number in the input field (for example: enter 229 for message FSN229E) and press the Enter key

Currently no hardcopy manual documents these messages.
