VM18477: CKRCARLA DATA SET PROCESSING AND ALLOCATION PROBLEMS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• (1) 'Nothing selected' when CKRCARLA is not able to read the SMF
  file after it was changed by RACF after the CP link
  (2) Nothing selected for the active SMF
  (3) CKR769 input file error after successful SMF query

  (1)Read errors can occur when CKRCARLA is reading the live SMF
  data set and it gets updated with new SMF data.
  (2)Following a successful query, pressing PF3 and returning to
  the selection panel message CKR769 is incorrectly issued.
  

Problem conclusion

• (1)Code has been added to detect this condition and to re-access
  the SMF minidisk and retry.
  (2)The code has been modified to correct this problems.
