APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When the data loader creates "defining" attributes it is failing
  to set  the "LANGUAGE_ID" on table "ATTRVALDESC" despite the
  language
  being defined in both the data and the loader xpath:
  
  <_config:mapping
  xpath="CatalogEntryAttributes/Attributes[0]/language"
  value="Language" valueFrom="InputData" />
  
  Trying to set the value manually as follows also does not work:
  
  <_config:mapping
  xpath="CatalogEntryAttributes/Attributes[0]/language"
  value="-5" valueFrom="Fixed" />

Problem summary

• USERS AFFECTED:
  All users using data load to load (insert) attributes with
  language-specific values into table ATTRVALDESC
  
  PROBLEM ABSTRACT:
  Data Loader fails to set  the "LANGUAGE_ID" on WebSphere
  Commerce table "ATTRVALDESC"
  
  BUSINESS IMPACT:
  Unable to set multiple languages when using dataload
  
  RECOMMENDATION:
  

Problem conclusion

• Updated the logic to use the language id from the logical noun,
  if present, to override the language id from the context.
