Error description

• When editing an ILE RPG source content assist stops working on a
  line after using prompting on a data structure subfield then
  typing a character that does not match any subfield..
  Correcting the bad character and trying again will result in no
  choices being offered and an error sound.
  

Local fix

• Close then re-open the source member.
