APAR status

  • Closed as fixed if next.

Error description

  • Prompting a SAVLIB command in LPEX with the parm
    OMITOBJ((*ALL *JRN))
results in the prompted command showing that part of the OMITOBJ
parm settings where the object type can be specified being
disabled and then when the command is complted and when OK is
pressed without making any changes the parm gets changed to
      OMITOBJ(*ALL)
    which is incorrect

Local fix

  • Specify
     OMITOBJ((*ALL/*ALL *JRN))
    rather than
     OMITOBJ((*ALL *JRN))
for the omit objects parameter in this case

This problem is fixed in the RDi 9.0.1 update.

The CL Prompter was not correctly handling and preserving a
parameter value involving multiple parts, special values,
and single values in the parameter definition. This shows up
when prompting for the OMITOBJ parameter for
    SAVLIB & SAVOBJ commands.
