DataStore Synchronization does not fail when one of the datasync tasks fails. It continues through all the tasks and reports success at the end. Business Impact: If the DataStore Synchronization reports success, other jobs will continue to run without knowing there was a problem. The process should report failure immediately when any of the tasks fail. Version 7.6 of IPFA contains the fix for this defect but it is needed in version 7.5 as well. 1. Locate ScaAutomation.DataStoreSynchronize.exe in the ScaAutomation folder. 2. Open a command window and run ScaAutomation.DataStoreSynchronize.exe from the command line with the following arguments (substituting proper user credentials and URL for Integration Services.Make sure one of the tasks fails): ScaAutomation.DataStoreSynchronize.exe /l:"userName" /a:"password" /i:"http://localhost" /sd:"Master Data Store" 3. See that the status of each task is reported. If one of the tasks fail, the following tasks continue to run and the process always reports success.
There is no work around.
This issue has been resolved and fix will be available on an as-needed basis.
A new ScaAutomation.DataStoreSynchronize.exe file has been created for 7.5.x users.
