RS01199: AUDIT LOG NOT RECORDING NULL TO 0 OVERRIDE VALUES

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• If the Reviewed_N value is NULL and the Recommended_N value is
  equal to zero in a particular record, that change is not
  recorded in the Audit Log when the recommendation is applied.
  
  This is due to an erroneous design assumption that NULL is
  equivalent to Zero. The tr_OverrideAudit trigger should be
  altered to remove this equivocation.
  
  Steps to reproduce:
  1. create a blank master datastore
  2. create or import complimentary records in the Staging Product
  Location Master and Staging Demand Master
  3. run table sync
  4. create a new scenario through the creation wizard
  5. run the optimizer and publish the solution back to the
  datastore
  6. go to the Review and Override table
  7. open a record in the Safety Stock Calculator
  8. move Recommendation to Adjusted
  9. change Demand value to zero
  10. calculate and update record
  11. the Adjusted Safety Stock value should now be zero
  12. select a reason code and the action to Update Changes
  13. save the changes
  14. check the Audit Log for a Safety Stock record from NULL to
  zero
  

Local fix

• There is no workaround.
  

Problem summary

• This issue has been resolved and the fix will be available in
  IBM ILOG Inventory and Product Flow Analyst 7.6.15.4.
