Error description

  • This only happens with 12.5.0.0. MPS files with ASCII
characters with code values of 128-255 will not be properly
translated, resulting in error messages such as:

    CPLEX> Selected objective sense: MINIMIZE
    Selected objective name: PROFIT
CPLEX Error 1448: Line 7: '' is not a row name.
    No file read.

Previous versions of CPLEX handled this with no trouble.

    RTC-14608

Local fix

  • Use CPLEX 12.4. If need 12.5 for performance, use 12.4 to
input file, write out a .rew or SAV file to avoid the input
of these characters, then input with 12.5.
