RS01073: INDEX OUT OF BOUNDS ERROR WHEN GENERATING MAP SHADING RANGES

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• In some models, the shading bin generation routine doesn't
  return a dataset of the proper size and causes an index out of
  bounds exception to be thrown.  This prevents the user from
  being able to use the shading functionality, but does not crash
  the application or cause any data corruption.
  
  Steps to reproduce:
  When clicking on the Generate button on the Map Shading Window,
  using Zip or State, an "Index was outside the bounds of the
  array" exception is thrown.
  

Local fix

• Scenarios can be individually fixed with a SQL script (requires
  developer/support intervention).  The fix will persist into
  copied scenarios, but will not be present in new or existing
  scenarios where the fix has not been applied.
  

Problem summary

• This issue has been resolved and fix will be available in IBM
  ILOG LogicNet Plus XE 7.2.24.23.
  

Problem conclusion

• The fix is now available on FixCentral.
