Error description
ABEND0A9 in ISTTSCSX occurred when TCPIP passed an XBUFLIST to VTAM that contained zeros in a CSM Token field. The data was for EE and a packet had been fragmented. Two fragments were received together in a packed message. When TCPIP created the xbuflist a correct CSM Token was used for the first fragment but a CSM Token of zeros was used for the second. Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of the Communications Server for * * OS/390 Release 10 IP and z/OS Version 1 * * Release 2: Enterprise Extender * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Enterprise Extender inbound data causes * * an abend0A9 in ISTTSCSX due to an CSM * * buffer token that is zeros. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** Enterprise Extender inbound data processing clears the CSM token when processing a packet that is not in a packing buffer. When a fragmented packet arrives there may be more than one reference to the same CMS buffer. Clearing the CSM token when the first packet is processed causes an abend0A9 in ISTTSCSX when the subsequent packets are forwarded to VTAM. This problem was identified and corrected in z/OS Version 1 Release 4 IP under PTR MV24109. +-------------------------------------------------------------+ + Please check our Communications Server for OS/390 homepages + + for common networking tips and fixes. Problem conclusion
Temporary fix
Comments
EZBUDBYP has been amended to not clear the CSM token when the SKDB has a reference count greater than 1.
