  After a cancel or abort of a DB2 application, recovery may
  corrupt EDM control block chains leading subsequently to an
  apparent symptom of overlaid EDM storage.  SYS1.LOGREC entries
  prior to the error symptoms will indicate an interrupt/ABEND
  in DSNGEGFB.  Symptoms may be various abends or loop followed
  by DB2 subsystem failure.  The window for this problem to
  occur is very small.  Note: the EDMpool resides in sp229 high
  Private area storage in the DBM1 asid.
  

Problem conclusion

• The EDM PRR recovery routine doesn't adequately distinguish
  the split of a free block recovery on the high side or the
  low side.  The change is made in DSNGEGFB to indicate to the
  PRR routines which case it is.  DSNGEPRR is streamlined to
  handle each case.  All modules including the PRR are recompiled.
