APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Duplicate records are being inserted in the envelope table for
    certain transactional mailings causing the RCT to generate
    errors and not insert any record until duplicate records are
    removed manually.
     Here is an example error message:
    Caused by: java.sql.BatchUpdateException: Violation of PRIMARY
    KEY constraint 'tEnvelope_PK'. Cannot insert duplicate key in
    object 'dbo. UCC_Envelope'. The duplicate key value is
    (133041000000000001, 33041).

    * be backed up on the eMessage Hosted Side .                   *

    * No action required this issue has been fixed on the Hosted   *
    * side.                                                        *

Problem conclusion

  • The root cause was identified as the TMS sub system in eMessage
    had a defect that was causing the ids to be duplicated. The root
    cause was fixed with a Patch on the eMessage Hosted side that
    was rolled out on 09/12/12
