    ****************************************************************
When security is enabled for WebSphere eXtreme Scale
deployments involving multiple catalog servers, but no
authentication plug-in is configured for client credential
authentication, the catalog servers do not start.
    The following error is logged:
    "ObjectGridSecurityException: There is no Authenticator
Plug-in. Make sure you have an authenticator configured in the
security.xml file or the statically configured cluster xml."
However, an authenticator plug-in is not required to use SSL.

Problem conclusion

  • The code was corrected so that transport security can occur
without an authentication plug-in for client credential
    validation.
