Error description

  • You used to use OMS in Statistics 21.0 to export very large
tables into HTML format. You would then import these into
Excel. Now with Statistics 22.0, you see that the exported
tables are coming with all of the formatting that was in the
original pivot table. This is very unlike the very simple,
sparse HTML table formatting of prior versions. Waht makes this
specifically hard for you is that Excel reads these files and
strips off all of the formatting, including the cell borders of
    the tables imported.

Local fix

  • The easiest workaround for this is to use OMS to export directly
to Excel (*.xls, *.xlsx) file format. But that method falls
short when you are working with truly large tables (e.g. 1000
columns by 1000 rows) and limited available RAM.

Select /DESTINATION FORMAT=CHTML, when writing your OMS command,
to get the "classic" HTML export from prior versions.
